The Live Action remake of Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” is coming to Disney+. Disney promises a new take on the timeless classic. The film uses a combination of real live animal actors and computer generated effects to wonderful effect. A new trailer debuted yesterday at the D23 Expo in Anaheim.
Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Aunt Sarah in the movie, joined fellow “Lady and the Tramp” cast members Rose (“Lady”) and Monty (“Tramp”)—the canine stars of the film—to premiere the first trailer from the film. In what feels like a scene from the movie the dog who plays Tramp was found in a shelter himself and all the animals in the film were pet rescues.

If you’re not familiar with the 1955 animated classic, it is the story of Lady, a pampered house dog, and The Tramp, a street tough by lovable stray, who embark on an unexpected adventure and come to understand the value of home. Despite their differences they end up growing close.

I’ll be honest. I wasn’t much looking forward to this remake, but this trailer has pulled me in. It definitely brought back the swell of emotions I associate with watching the original animated classic.
Lady and the Tramp are voiced by Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux respectively. Also cast in the movie are Kiersey lemons as Darling Dear, Thomas Mann as Jim Dear, Adrian Martinez as Elliot the dog-catcher, Arturo Casto as Marco. F. Murray Abraham, Sam Elliot, and Ken Jeong are also in the movie.
Lady and the Tramp will be available for streaming on Disney+ when the service goes live on November 12.
