Restaurantosaurus upgrades dinner option with burger and sundae combo

A new Burgers and Sundaes Dinner coming to Restaurantosaurus inside DinoLand, U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom promises to be a Dino-riffic way to top off your day at the park. Guests looking for a hand-crafted burger and sundae with its own toppings bar, will find a lot to love at this new dinner experience.

The dinner comes is a fixed price and will be set up in its own area inside the restaurant while quick service menu continues to be offered at the walk-up counter.

Each meal comes with an entrĂ©e, a side dish, a non-alcoholic beverage, and a sundae. First pick either a gourmet burger, chicken sandwich, veggie burger, or a salad for your entree. Sides offerings are either fries or onion rings and a selection of house-made dipping sauces. You’ll also get a token you can redeem later for a bowl with two scoops of ice cream you can take to the sundae toppings bar.

Disney’s culinary team has given this a cute backstory in line with the theme of Restaurantosaurus. A group of paleontology students got together to open this new burger joint right inside Restaurantosaurus aiming to give families hand-crafted burgers and build-your-own sundaes. In addition to the food, the students have made available games, stories, and fun dinosaur coloring activities.

Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes is available only during dinner on select nights beginning August 18 and is $22.99 plus tax for adults and $14.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

It does seem like you’ll have to have your entire party agree to partake in the dinner since it will be held in its own room.

This sounds like just the sort of upgrade that makes dining at Disney special. The price isn’t all that outrageous either. Don’t tell Disney, but this isn’t much more than you’d pay at a chain restaurant for the same meals.

Disney offers a few guidelines:

Guests partaking in this new dinner experience will check in at a designated register where they will be escorted to a table in a separate dining room. This experience can also count as one quick-service meal entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan. Reservations are now open and can be made by calling 407 WDW-DINE (407 939-3463) or by visiting the Walt Disney World website. Walk-ups are welcome but subject to availability.
