When you book your trip to Walt Disney World, you can no longer consider Disney’s Animal Kingdom a half day park. From “Rivers of Light” to “Pandora – the World of Avatar” to the Tree of Life Awakenings digital projection shows, there’s a lot to see and do. Even if you’ve seen it all, this summer there’s a new awakening digital projection show that celebrates Simba’s journey from “The Lion King.”
Featuring new arrangements of familiar songs from “The Lion King,” the new show will include beautiful digital projections mapped on the iconic tree at the center of Discovery Island.
The best location to view the Tree of Life awakenings is on Discovery Island fright in front of the tree back to about 50 feet behind the walkway is. You can watch it from further back, but you’ll miss some of the detail.
The new shows started over Memorial Day Weekend and is part of the park’s celebration of the original animated feature’s 25th anniversary. It will run at least through the end of summer.
