New character and attraction MagicBand options for Disney Resort guests

There’s nothing like the feeling of anticipation that’s kindled when your Magic Bands arrive in the mail ahead of your next Walt Disney World resort vacation. It’s a big sign that your magical adventure is nearing a reality. Up until now guests have been able to choose from a colorful selection of magic bands, but the resort is about to allow many more customization options.

Disney will soon roll out a new upgrade option where Disney Resort hotel guests can choose from one of more than 30 new MagicBand designs that feature Disney characters and designs. From popular characters like Moana and Buzz Lightyear to attraction specific designs like Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth, you’ll find a design that’s close to your heart.

Prices vary, but by pre-ordering ahead of your arrival, you’ll receive a special price that reflects at $14.99 discount off the retail cost. Each MagicBand will still be personalized with the name of its owner.

Resort guests who order at least 11 days before arrival will have them shipped home, otherwise your customized MagicBands will be awaiting you at your resort when you arrive.

The customization option will also be available to Annual Passholders at the discounted price.

Of course, the regular colorful MagicBands are still available as a complimentary option for Disney Resort guests and Annual Passholders at their renewal date.

Hard to believe that Disney’s MyMagic+ experience has been around for five years already. We think there is a lot more potential for this service going forward and hope Disney continues innovating new Magic and Fun for guests.
