Disney’s Aladdin Friend Like Me Make-A-Wish Challenge

Will Smith is the Genie and Mena Massoud is Aladdin

The concept of wishes coming true is central to the story of Disney’s Aladdin. This morning Will Smith, who plays The Genie of the Lamp in the new live-action adaption of Disney’s animated feature “Aladdin,” kicked off a new campaign that will raise money to help wishes come true for children battling critical life-threatening diseases. The #FriendLikeMe campaign aims to raise $1 million for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

All it takes to make like The Genie yourself and help grant a wish is to make a post to Twitter or Instagram with the #FriendLikeMe hashtag and state who you would share your three wishes with. For every public post on those platforms with #FriendLikeMe from April 29–May 24, 2019, Disney will donate $5, up to $1 million, to Make-A-Wish to help grant life-changing wishes all over the world.

Did you know the Make-A-Wish lounge at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is themed to Aladdin and The Genie? The #FriendLikeMe campaign is part of the Disney Team of Heroes commitment to deliver comfort and inspiration to families around the world. For more information, visit FriendLikeMe.org.
