In Disney’s Jungle Cruise live-action movie Emily Blunt will join Dwayne Johnson on the adventure of a lifetime. The movie will riff of the iconic Disney theme park attraction, which itself was a riff on iconic adventure films like 1951’s “The African Queen” starring Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.
Disney released a short video teasing the the upcoming Jungle Cruise film featuring the two big stars in costume chatting it up on set.
The Jungle Cruise movie will try to capture some of the humor of the attraction, as well as the adventure. As you can see below, Blunt and Johnson already hamming it up on the set:
Disney’s Jungle Cruise is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. You may have seen his Liam Neeson action films like Unkown and Non-Stop. It will also star Paul Giamatti, Édgar Ramírez, and Jesse Plemons.
Disney fans will be seeing a lot of Emily Blunt in the near future as she is in the title role in another little Disney film you may have heard of – Mary Poppins Returns.
The Jungle Cruise movie is scheduled to cruise into theaters in October of 2019.
Looking forward to it….it seems Dwayne Johnson does a lot of things that make me happy….fun movies…no message or deep drama needed…just pure fun! So needed today….
