Star Wars Galactic Nights event to include celebration of Solo: A Star Wars Story

Rather than hosting Star Wars Weekends again, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been holding one-night only ticket events called Star Wars: Galactic Nights. It’s a fun night with a lot for Star Wars fans to enjoy. You can read our report from the most recent event here.

The next Galactic Nights is scheduled for May 27 which is just two days after the theatrical debut of “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” As you might expect, Disney is using that opportunity to celebrate the release of the second stand-alone Star Wars movie.

Actor Joonas Suotamo, who plays Chewbacca in Solo, will make a special appearance at the event. The ‘Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far, Away show will debut some new moments from the movie, and the nighttime projection show ‘Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular’ will debut a new sequence from the film.

We’re told that the Millennium Falcon will have it’s own special cupcake too.

Star Wars: Galactic Nights starts at 7pm and runs until midnight. It celebrates the entire Star wars saga with out-of-this-world entertainment, a DJ’d dance floor, themed photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, creative Star Wars food & beverage options, and rare character encounters.

Tickets are still available and there are discounts for annual passholders and DVC members. Call 407-W-DISNEY (407 934-7639) for details and reservations
