Last year Disney and Kiehl’s began a partnership that included a new store in the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Walt Disney World. This holiday season they’re announcing a collaboration on a collection featuring Mickey Mouse that will help children and families thrive thanks to a donation to Feeding America – a hunger-relief charity.
Select items from the Disney x Kiehl’s collection will make up the 9th Annual Limited Edition Charitable Holiday Collection, and 100% of its net profits of this collection, up to $100,000, will benefit Feeding America. Since every $1 donation helps provide 11 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks, this donation will help provide up to 1,100,000 meals to families this holiday.
With a presence in all 50 states and Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, Feeding America’s nationwide network of 200 member food banks support 60,000 food assistance programs, shelters and meal sites. Each year, Feeding America’s network provides meals and resources to over 46 million people in the United States struggling with food insecurity, including nearly 12 million children. The Feeding America network secures and distributes 4 billion meals annually.
It looks like the special edition Mickey Mouse tin is already sold out online. But they might have some available in stores.
