Disney Cruise Line wins Condé Nast Traveler award

Condé Nast Traveler is celebrating its 30th annual Readers’ Choice Awards which looks across world for the best of the best in the travel industry. Over 300,000 readers joined in the calculations for this award comparing over 7,320 hotel and resorts, 468 cruise lines, and more. Once again Disney Cruise Line was chosen as the Top Large Cruise Line by the readers of Traveler.

Disney won because of the way it brings the Disney experience to the high seas. Character appearances, the extensive onboard children’s programs, and Castaway Cay lead the reasons people liked the Disney Cruise Line.

The magazine also reports on new travel trends like:

  • Popularity of holistic spa resorts is on the up, especially those that tap into their local surroundings.
  • We’re aching for simplicity when we travel. Instead of multi-destination, run-around-see-everything spots, we’re looking to kick back, relax, and enjoy the place.
  • Smaller airports and secondary cities are both more popular than ever

Do these trends align with your goals for a great vacations? You can see all the top winners list at Traveler’s website.
