You will be satisfied with your care after watching the first look at the animation for the new Big Hero 6: The Series. Baymax, Hiro and the gang are back and totally ready to keep on saving San Fransokyo. With all the big news coming out of D23 this last weekend, you may have missed this one, but Big Hero 6 did really well at the box office and I expect this series to be very popular. It’s already had a second season ordered.
Watch the opening credits and the theme to the Big Hero 6 animated series
Although it’s a little odd seeing the characters rendered in 2D instead for TV, I’m totally digging the theme-song and the very graphic-novel style of animation. Looks like another DisneyXD to to add to my A-rotation on the DVR this year.
The Disney Television Animation-produced series picks up immediately following the events of the feature film and continues the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax. Along with their friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, they form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6 and embark on high-tech adventures as they protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains. In his normal day-to-day life, Hiro faces daunting academic challenges and social trials as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.
