The addition of Raglan Road Irish pub and restaurant to the food options at what was then still Pleasure Island more than 11 years ago, was an early signal of the coming big change that has transformed the shopping, dining, and entertainment complex into what we enjoy today at Dsiney Springs. Offering a true slice of Ireland, the venue combines an authentic pub experience with well-made food and drink and live entertainment.
We were recently invited to Raglan Road to take in their daily Rhythms of Raglan dance show. It’s a new 90-minute live spectacle of Irish music and dance featuring talented musicians and award winning Irish Dancers. The show was produced in Ireland and exported to Raglan Road and directed by David Hayes (Riverdance, “The Voice” Ireland edition) with lead choreographer Ciaran Keating. The show offers children a chance to get up on stage and learn an Irish step dance routine.
As you can see in the highlights video below, our ‘Kid’s life at Disney’ host Indigo had a fantastic time and even kicked up his heels on stage with Raglan Road’s dancers.
Here’s a taste of what to expect on your visit:
We recommend Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant for a real authentic pub and dining experience straight from Ireland. We loved the talented dancers and musicians who really know how to put on an entertaining show and treated the kids wonderfully.
Catch Rhythms of Raglan daily at 4pm on stage at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney Springs. Check out the full nightly entertainment schedule on the Raglan Road website.
When we were at Raglan Road a few months ago, there was a different band onstage but they, like the band in the video, played along (or maybe even pretended to play) with the same pre-recorded ‘Riverdance’ track. Yes, there was still some live playing, but this bit was disappointing after so many years of great live playing by Creel and others.
My, now 4 yrs Old, Grandson has been dancing with Kelly once or twice a year since he was 1 1/2, he talks about it often! It probably is a Highlight of Our lives! Thank you Kelly!!!
