First clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming

A new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man Homecoming dropped during last night’s MTV Awards and landed on MTV’s Twitter account. Tom Holland plays the famous teenage web-slinger in Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” In the clip Peter Parker accidentally reveals his super-hero identity to his friend.

“You’re the Spider-Man from YouTube!” Yep, this is a modern Spider-Man movie.

This is the first of the Spider-Man films to exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, shows up, and Spider-Man was already introduced in “Captain America: Civil War.”

If you missed the original trailer, you can watch it again here:

About the film:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Expect Homecoming to swing its way into theaters on July 7.
