Each Disney Shareholder meeting, as of late, has had some amazing movie preview not available anywhere else. Alas, no photos or video were allowed, so we’ll have to make do with some descriptions of what attendees saw. The movie that was share was “Star Wars: The Last Jedi, aka episode VIII in the Star Wars Skywalker saga.
Daniel Miller from the L.A. Times was on hand and he reported on what he saw via twitter.
We just saw more "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" footage. In it, Luke asks Rey, "Who are you?" Then we see her deftly handle a lightsaber.

That’s right, Luke Skywalker actually gets to speak in this movie. It’s also interesting that Luke doesn’t know who Rey is, or does know who she is, but is asking a more probing question, asking if she knows who she is.
Episodes VIII and IX will represent the passing of the torch from one generation to the next. It looks like Luke even hands the light saber back to Rey as her training begins.
Miller then described some additional scenes that were shown in the teaser:
Also making appearances in "The Last Jedi" footage: Chewbacca, General Leia Organa and Finn.

One last thing on the "Last Jedi" footage: We saw all sorts of settings — mountains, oceans, forests, deserts. Look suitably epic, exotic.

A tidbit on "The Last Jedi" footage: In the clip, a character yelled "It's now or never!" Sorry to say I couldn't tell you who screamed it!

Sounds like this will be the sort of Star Wars movie that takes you to many different planets throughout the galaxy.
Disney CEO Bob Iger has seen an early print of the film and describes it as “the perfect Skywalker saga chapter.” We certainly hope so Bob.
Now we are all waiting for an official trailer to drop. Any ideas on when that might happen? Let us know.
