Ariana Grande and John Legend have recorded the title song from Disney’s Beauty and Beast for the new live-action adaption. The whole song was shared earlier today on YouTube (just the audio):
I think this is the ‘for radio’ end credits version because the version in the trailer has more orchestration to it.
This rendition of the classic song is produced by Grammy-winning veteran Ron Fair, whose music career spans 37 years as a major-label record company leader and accomplished producer, arranger, recording engineer and musical director. Fair was brought in to produce by Disney’s president of Music & Soundtracks, Mitchell Leib, who also brought Grande and Legend to the project. The history of collaboration between Leib and Fair in film music goes back to the highly-successful “Pretty Woman” soundtrack.
For reference, here’s the original Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson music video version for comparison:
Which do you like more, the original Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson version or this one with Ariana Grande & John Legend?
The original motion picture soundtrack will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10, 2017. Pre-order is available now on Amazon.
Previously: Final trailer for Disney’s Beauty & The Beast is magnificent.
