Recall news: Mickey Mouse Nightlight recalled

Don’t let the Happy Holidays turn sour with an electrical fire in your house. If you bought or gifted the 2016 Happy Holidays! Mickey Mouse Nightlight that was part of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Retro Christmas line, you need to return it for a refund as the product has a safety recall issued from the Consumer Protection Safety Council and the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

There is a defect in the product that sometimes allows liquid from the nightlight to leak out and onto the electrical outlet it’s plugged into. This poses an electrical hazard and could result in fire capable of burning down your home.

The recalled Mickey Nightlight was sold at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., the Shop Disney Parks mobile app, and online at DisneyStore.com from July 2016 through November 2016 for about $15.

If you have this product at home check if the UPC code, 400009489637, is printed on a sticker on the bottom of the product Or look a the Model Number located on the plug reading YF E243438. If so, it’s been recalled.

If you have it plugged in right now immediately unplug it. Even if you’ve already packed away your Christmas decor, it’s worth it to dig this up and file for a refund. There have already been at least two incidents.
