One of the benefits of having a celebrity chef branded restaurant at Disney Springs is that from time to time the famous chef will stop by to make a special meal for guests. Another one is coming up in February and it promises to be a culinary adventure you’ll remember for a lifetime – a special evening of ‘momakase’ dinner prepared by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
In Japan they have the tradition of ‘omakase,’ which means “to entrust.” You put your evening in the hands of an expert chef who will create for you an unforgettable, multi-course dining experience that features the freshest fish from Japan plus a variety of other specialty ingredients that are reserved for this truly unique meal.
Back by popular demand, on February 7th, guests in-the-know (which means you know) will have the opportunity to experience “Momakase,” Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s signature omakase service at Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs. This over-the-top culinary adventure is like no other as guests sit back and entrust The Iron Chef to create for them a multi-course meal, unaware of where the evening will take them.
As guests take their place at Morimoto Asia’s 14-seat sushi bar, Chef Morimoto personally oversees “Momokase” along with a variety of his hand-selected sushi and regional culinary specialists. The multi-course journey often incorporates several interpretations of a specific item per course, and features the freshest fish from Japan and Florida, plus a variety of truly special ingredients reserved for this unique meal.
“Momakase” with Chef Morimoto is $250 per person (does not include sales tax or gratuity) and a $75 deposit is required at time of booking. Beverage pairing by one of the restaurant’s specialists is available at an additional cost.
At a $250 a person price tag, I’m the first to admit an experience like this isn’t for everyone. There are, however, plenty of more affordable culinary treats at Morimoto Asia. We love their sushi and are also big fans of their ramen noodles dishes. Make your own special meal and, who knows, the Iron Chef may even stop by your table.
On the other hand, previous iterations of this special night were incredibly well reviewed with everyone coming away saying it was a night they will never forget. So maybe just splurge and enjoy it.

$250 without beverages? LOL
