it’s a small world – Hyperlaspse tour from Magic Kingdom

Created by Walt Disney and WED Enterprises for the 1964 New York World’s Fair, the iconic classic attraction ‘it’s a small world’ is now installed in 5 Disney parks around the globe and has made millions upon millions of passengers happy with its message of the beauty of children’s laughter and the importance of working toward world peace.

I love the wall to wall water in the Magic Kingdom’s version of ‘it’s a small world.’ As lights reflect off the water, it provides that extra bit of magic the attraction needs. Mary Blair’s amazing design influences are clear throughout and Alice Davis’ costume designs are fantastic and just as relevant today as they were in 1964.

We just returned from a trip to the Magic Kingdom where we had the fortune of being placed in the front row of ‘it’s a small world.’ The result is this hyperlapse video POV of this marvelous attraction.

Which room in ‘it’s a small world’ is your favorite?
