ABC’s ‘The View’ announces March trip to broadcast from Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and the other hosts of ABC’s The View will make a special trip to Orlando in March to record their show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The show will be set up from right in front of the beautiful Tree of Life.

The announcement was made yesterday when Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto stopped by the New York set of The View to announce the visit.

“The View” continues its year-long celebration of season 20 with its first-ever broadcast from Walt Disney World and ratings up across the board, making it the only broadcast daytime show to see gains in the key demos this season. The show previously broadcasted for one week from the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, in March 2009, and from the Disneyland Resort in November 2013.

I’m sure they’ll be showing off all four parks. However, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom prepared to open Pandora – The World of Avatar and, hopefully, Rivers of Light, at some point in 2017, the question is will this be a preview, or will Disney time the openings of one or both of those attractions with the show? The shows will air March 6th through the 10th, that’s probably too early for Avatar-land, but a definitely possibility for Rivers of Light.
