Tonight’s the night y’all. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” starts screening for paying guest. You can check out our spoiler-free review, learn about which characters from other Star Wars movies you might find in Rogue One, or watch the latest trailer right here.
These ‘critics say’ trailers are a staple of movie marketing efforts. My question is does anyone decide to go see a movie because of a three word quote from a larger review? I doubt it. Still it’s good to see Rogue One getting some buzz. The movie is currently pegged at 85% at Rotten Tomatoes with 172 ‘fresh’ ratings and 32 ‘rotten’ ones.
Current box office predictions for opening weekend range from $120M to $200M domestically. I think it will be somewhere around $160M domestically and should easily pass $300M worldwide. What is your prediction?
