EPCOT Candlelight Processional dining package options expand in 2016

It may be the first day of July, but now is the time to make your Candlelight Processional dining package plans. The famous EPCOT holiday event has revealed the bulk of the celebrity hosts for this year’s festivities. We also learned that for the first time, you’ll be able to dine at select locations outside of EPCOT as part of the package.

Adding to the list of dining options this year are nearby restaurants including Captain’s Grille at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Trattoria Al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk. Also for the first time you can get breakfast as part of the package at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Captain’s Grille, and Garden Grill

Participating restaurants include:

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Biergarten Restaurant
Captain’s Grille
Chefs de France
Coral Reef Restaurant
The Garden Grill
La Hacienda de San Angel
Nine Dragons Restaurant
Restaurant Marrakesh
Rose & Crown Dining Room
San Angel Inn Restaurante
Spice Road Table
Teppan Edo
Tokyo Dining
Trattoria al Forno
Tutto Italia Ristorante
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Dates announced for 2016 EPCOT Candlelight Processional:

11/25-27 – Steven Curtis Chapman
11/28-12/1 – Neil Patrick Harris
12/2-12/3 – Whoopi Goldberg
12/4-12/12 – TBA
12/13-12/15 – Meredith Vieira
12/16-12/18 – TBA
12/19-12/21 – Joe Morton
12/22-12/27 – TBA
12/28-12/30 – Cal Ripken, Jr.

With a choir of hundreds, 50-piece orchestra, and celebrity narrator, there really is nothing else like the Candlelight Processional. There are three shows a night and usually the 3rd one is easy to get into via standby queue. But if you don’t to worry, I do recommend getting the dining package.

Which Celebrity Narrator are you most excited about this year?

  1. NPH is the only one on the list who we’d be really excited to see, although Joe Morton would be pretty cool. The rest are just as dull as can be. Maybe they’ll get some interesting folks to fill in the available dates, but I’m not counting on it.

We haven’t bothered with the Candlelight Processional in several years due to the fact that you almost HAVE to have a dining package in order to get in anymore.
