“Path of the Jedi” is a film Lucasfilm and Disney created for the theme parks if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a visit next time your at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disneyland. “Path of a Lightsaber” is a fan made film that traced the path of Anakin and Luke Skywalker’s iconic weapon through time, and with it the first seven films of the Star Wars saga. It’s available to see below or on YouTube. Both are a big help in understanding the Star Wars saga for those new to the fantasy sci-fi series.

The video, edited by Christopher Sherwood, does contain highlights from most of the important moments of the Saga, so be warned of Spoilers ahead:

Who do you think will end up with Luke’s lightsaber in Episode VIII? Will Luke take it back himself and make Rey build her own or will he pass it on to the next generation Jedi? After all if you can stop a blast bolt with the force (as Kylo Ren did) when what do you need a lightsaber for other than a really useful butter knife?

Speaking of Rey, I loved this segment on casting Daisy Ridley as Rey from the special features on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens disc.
