Big news out of Anaheim for Foodies. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine festival will return in 2016. There are a couple big changes and a lot of unknowns, but for the 4 years this event was held before, it made a lot of memories for participants and fans.
After experiencing lighter crowds than expected when DCA first opened, many ideas were tried to attract guests to the park. One of the most popular was the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine festival that debuted in 2006. Alas, it had to be sacrificed in 2011 so the park could address some of the larger problems that were keeping guests away. With the park the recipient of a very successful makeover, the question has been, will they ever bring back the food & wine festival, or do they not need it any more?
Turns out, they are bringing back the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival and they’re doing it this April. Weekends in April (and May 1), guests will be able to sample delicious California cuisine, sip and savor California wines, and enjoy festival marketplaces, culinary demonstrations, and appearances by celebrity chefs.
There will be more information soon, but at least you can pencil in a weekend or two or three, to enjoy the festival.
So they cancel the Mad T Party at the end of March and then Food and Wind in April. I wonder if they are planning to do something like Eat to the Beats concerts that they do at WDW during Food and Wine. Would explain the timing.
