Pixar stars leave their mark at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

When Disney decided to finish the second half of Pop Century, it gave it a theme that honored the very thing that helped make The Walt Disney Company what it is today – animation. Re-christened Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the focus is on four main films from the Disney and Pixar oevres – “The Lion King,” “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Finding Nemo.”

To honor the artists who made those films, and others at Pixar and Disney Animation, a new tradition was started. Animators, and others closely involved in filmmaking, who visit the Walt Disney World resort on official business are invited to stop by and autograph the storyboard art that makes up the giant lobby chandelier.
