Disney Cruise Line picks up another “readers choice” award

The trophy cabinet at the Disney Cruise Line offices must be huge. Another award can now be added to their over 100 travel industry awards earned since DCL started in 1998. This one comes from the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine. They’ve voted DCL the No. 1 “Large Ship Line” in this year’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

This marks the 13th consecutive year that Disney Cruise Line has been recognized by readers in Condé Nast Traveler’s annual survey. Congratulations to everyone working at DCL. Consistency excelling like that is hard to do.

“We pride ourselves on the unforgettable vacation experiences we deliver to our guests each and every day,” said Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line. “It’s a privilege to be recognized by Condé Nast Traveler readers. It’s awards like these, the ones that come directly from our guests and the public, that we regard among our highest honors.”

The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are the two most recent and largest ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. So far there have been no orders for more ships, although we hear that DCL is considering other options to add more routes (such as a river cruise similar to the Adventures by Disney package that was added this year).
