Are you Inhuman?
That is the question that Marvel and ABC has teased us with throughout the summer and it is finally time to get an answer. As a recap of where we left the team last season, Skye’s mom, Jiaying, waged war against S.H.I.E.L.D. because she felt it was the only way to protect her people, the Inhumans.
Our favorite agents were victorious, but not without cost. Coulson lost his hand. Gonzales lost his life. Skye’s father went under the T.A.H.I.T.I. procedure and lost all of his memories (which is probably a good thing).
Not all was doom and gloom though. May ended up taking a vacation with her ex-husband and Bobbi and Hunter reunited as well. Fitz and Simmons even talked about going on a date – that is, until Simmons got swallowed up by the mysterious Kree stone on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s ship.
Oh, and Ward is the new head of Hydra.
Skye is heading up a new division of S.H.I.E.L.D. with the sole purpose of finding more people with superpowers. The job may be harder than she anticipated since Terrigen mist ended up inside of numerous fish oil pills.
In fact, that’s where the show starts off this evening:
Here’s the official synopsis for the episode:
Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) leading the charge as S.H.I.E.L.D. searches the world for more powered people in the aftermath of their epic battle with Jiaying and her army of Inhumans. However, Coulson and the team soon find out that they are not the only group looking for these new Inhumans.
When Coulson and the team discover a new Inhuman, S.H.I.E.L.D. comes face to face with another organization searching for powered people. And still reeling from Simmons’ dramatic disappearance, Fitz goes to extreme lengths to try to learn how to get her back.
Marvel also released a second clip involving the new Inhuman as he (and the audience) get the rundown of what’s going on:
And you can head over to abc.com for one more clip before watching the entire episode tonight at 9/8pm
