Chase cardmembers get an added bonus when attending EPCOT during the International Food & Wine festival — access to a special lounge inside the American Adventure Pavilion. Nice to have your bank sponsor a Disney event, isn’t it.
For the past three years, the lounge has been a great place to relax, soak up some air conditioning and enjoy a light refreshment before heading back out to the conquer the rest of the festival. A place to charge your mobile devices was also nice.
The 2015 festival lounge will have all that, plus some new enhancements. These include a dedicated Festival Information desk, social media photo booth, and a station where guests can email recipes from the festival. In addition, periodically throughout the festival, the lounge will host animation sketch classes and caricature artists.
“Cardmembers have told us that the Chase Lounge is a welcome retreat on their journey through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival,” said B.J. Mahoney, general manager, Chase Card Services. “In celebration of the 20th celebration of the festival, we are delighted to bring these new experiences to the lounge to add to their enjoyment.”
You will need to show either your Chase debit or credit card to get in. The lounge opens at 11am and closes with the park.
We were kind of hoping for more chairs. Sounds like we’ll be even more crowded in.
I’m with Mark on this one. The Chase lounge is a great thing, especially on a hot afternoon, but finding a place to sit when it’s really busy can be problematic. The wait to get in can also be pretty long.
While the American Adventure is a great location, it would be nice if they’d move it to a larger space. Perhaps the Odyssey Center would work. I think the World Showplace is usually occupied by special events during the festival, so that probably isn’t an option.
It used to be at Odyssey
