Since Zuri’s Sweets Shop is the only air-conditioned space to open with the new Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we’ve spent a lot of time in there looking around and cooling down. Of course, one of our favorite pass times is looking for Hidden Mickey’s and other tributes.
I did see some woven baskets on the wall (above) that looked like they could be a Hidden Mickey, but the size of the ears are not quite right. While discussing it with my son, a cast member overhead and approached us. She mentioned that a little wire bike up on a shelf near the ceiling was an abstract Hidden Mickey. As you can see here, the colors of the bike are also Mickey’s colors – Red, Yellow, & Black.
My son was now on the hunt for more hidden Mickeys. He found two more of the small wire sculptures. One bike hanging up high.
Another that looked like a little wire airplane. When looking up at the wire airplane. My son noticed that the familiar Red, Yellow, & Black colors were there, but if you stood at just the right spot on the ground, you could actually see a traditional 3-circles Hidden Mickey as well.
We thought this was pretty cool and so did the cast members and manager on duty who said they had never noticed it before.
What do you think? Is this a new Hidden Mickey?
