Marvel’s Daredevil trailer drops, show starts April 10th on Netflix

It’s finally here! The first trailer for the first Marvel Netflix show – Daredevil dropped today. Daredevil, the man without fear, is coming April 10th. The most consistent thing about this show that we have heard is it’s darker tone. Daredevil and the other Netflix series, are all based on street level heroes. These heroes are the ones going after the drug dealers, mobsters, and other street level scum.

That last sentence should help you envision the tone. These series are going to be darker than anything we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. To clarify, while they are on a different level from the rest of the MCU they are still apart of it. My guess is we’ll see the villains of these shows taking advantage of the chaos after the battle of New York from the Avengers. Carving out their claims while police are busy in the aftermath.

This is where are heroes come in. They can step over the line just enough to clean up their streets in Hell’s Kitchen and teach these criminals a lesson or two. This new take is definitely going to be a refreshing return to a fantastic universe.

Personally, I’m mostly excited that we are going to get around 13 hours of brand new Marvel content in one day. Especially since it comes the day after my birthday. My biggest question right now, is exactly how much this and the other Netflix series will tie into the Marvel Universe. Oh well, at least we have Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD to tied us over until April, right?

  1. Is this another one of those streaming-only deals? I’d be glad to watch the series if it’s released on discs, but I won’t pay extra to stream it. I already subscribe to Netflix and am too cheap to pony up more money for extras.
