What is it with celebrities singing “The Bear Necessities”? First we had UK signers Robbie Williams and Oly Murs give their take on the classic song from Disney’s Jungle Book. Now Loki, aka Tom Hiddleston, is getting in on the act.

This version was performed at the Friendship Works charity gala in November 2013, so technically Hiddleston’s version came first. He’s such a trend setter.
Hello! Love Tom but Harry Connick Jr’s version from waaayyy back was first & will always be my favorite!
Tom sang it at the D23 Expo during the Animation presentation for The Pirate Fairy. He explained that he had to sing as part of his audition for drama school. He sang The Bare Necessities. He then got pushed by an arena full of Disney fans to sing a few bars. I’m sure that footage is around somewhere. Cameras were banned from the presentation, but the media was there.
