Mickey’s airship in the Finale of Festival of Fantasy parade is the main the reason Main Street Xmas decorations will be different this year. It’s just too tall, it soars over the rooftops of many Main Street buildings.
So, put on your holiday decoration hats and get your armchair imagineering degree out, what should Disney replace the lighted garland arches with?
Put lights in the ground and on every surface, and make them twinkle.
They had that idea for Light Magic at Disneyland… never really worked. But I’d be interested in seeing them try it again.
Redesign the arches to raise and lower like drawbridges to allow the parade to pass by.
I like it, but it requires a more money than Disney is willing to spend, I bet.
