It’s been a while since we checked in with Duy Truong. Turns out he’s still making some amazing fan photography based on the original Dream Portrait series from Annie Leibovitz. Much of his art comes close to capturing the magic of the original series and this one is no exception.
Here Truong poses Maritza A. as Tinker Bell. They were doing another photo shoot, when they discovered this area of the forest. So Truong grabbed his camera and took a picture of Maritza. I love how the wings look. She was actually wearing them, they’re not photoshopped in. Plus the oversize nature of the leaves helps the imagination cast Tink in her diminutive size.
Find more from Truong on the Facebook page for his photography business and consider giving him a call if you need portrait work done.
If this is what passes as “amazing” these days, then photography has indeed sunk to a new low.
Photography has not sunk to a new low. This is just my work, and “amazing” or “terrible” is only an opinion of others and not a representation of a medium as a whole.
I didn’t realize you posted this. Thank you so much for checking up on me and posting this image!
