A new poster for Oz The Great and Powerful features a full length look at the Wicked Witch of the West. Note: some may consider this spoilery, so you can see which character it is by hovering over the poster. (Actually this may be the Wicked Witch of the East… what do you think?)
“Oz the Great and Powerful” is set before the 1900 book and the 1939 movie and examines the origins of the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.
Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
March 8th is coming soon. Disney has high hopes for this film even to the point of already planning how it will be added to the theme parks with new attractions and possibly a hotel. Walt Disney once bought the movie rights for all the Oz books except the 1900 Wizard of Oz title. So there is a wealth of stories there to mine if the box office does well.

Looks like a terrific poster!
