Shanghai Disneyland is being built a bit off the beaten track, but relatively close to a major freeway that helps outline the future expansion for the city. It was just announced that Shanghai’s Metro (a system of mass transit that includes Subway, Light Rail, and MagLev trains) will build a line exclusively for the Disney themepark. Metro’s Line 11 will add 3 new stops so it can reach the resort destination
Work is expected to start immediately so the line can be open in time for Shanghai Disneyland’s 2015 open. There will also be a custom themed station at the Shanghai Disney Resort where guests can get into the Disney mood before they even reach the park’s main entrance. Guests arriving at Shanghai International Airport will be able to board Metro Line 2 (or to save a little time, take the MagLev to Line2 downtown), then transfer to Metro Line 11 which they can ride all the way to the resort.

Had the pleasure of visiting Hong Kong Disneyland a few years ago which also has it’s own metro line.
Fantastic themed metro cars with Mickey shaped windows and standing handles. Also figurines on display throughout the cars.
Really puts you in the right mood, can of like driving under the big sign as you enter WDW
