TRON: UPRISING: 2011 Comic-Con Video Released

If you were paying close attention last week you may have heard that Disney showed a video promoting TRON: UPRISING, an animated show coming to Disney XD, at the 2011 Comic-Con. There was even a pirated version of the clip online for a bit. Now, Disney has released the full clip for the rest of us fans to enjoy.

It’s largely concept art, but there is an extended chase scene at the end that’s spectacular. I also love what they’ve done with the music.

Tron: Uprising follows the story of a young program named Beck as he is trained by Tron and becomes the arch-enemy of General Tesler. It’s set chronologically between the original TRON movie and TRON: Legacy and has a celebrity filled cast including: Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, and Bruce Boxleitner – who will reprise his role as TRON.

Have to say that I’m impressed with what I see. I also love that Disney is taking on a Sci-Fi series and, hopefully, keeping the fires stoked for the TRON franchise.
