Remix artist Pogo, who has had a rocky relationship with Disney (sometimes on payroll, sometimes banned from doing his work), has apparently gotten clearance to release another of his amazingly beautiful video remix works. This one is titled Bloom and it is absolutely sublime!
Pogo’s art involves laying a patchwork of vocals and musical chords from various Disney films. For this he recorded the harp sample from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and a series of chords from ‘A.I: Artificial Intelligence’ to form the base of the chorus. The vocals are all sampled from Disney films, each of which he mixes into the video.
I think Disney should continue to work with Pogo and him him promote this great video art. What do you think?

I thought it was painful to watch / listen to. However I’m genuinely glad for the diversity of opinions in the Disney-verse, so more power to you John, and to “Pogo”. To my ears it was repetitive, jarring, and meaningless. I really hope Disney’s official videos don’t ever start to look or sound anything like this, but I’m glad they’ve found ways to protect their intellectual property and still allow people to play in their sandbox a bit.

Amazingly beautiful is correct, John!
Thanks for posting it!

Yeah, I’m not sure if I get the appeal, either. The man is certainly talented, but I found myself straining to try to understand if any meaningful words were being said. Guess I’m not the target audience.
But really, clue me in – am I supposed to understand the words?
