Decline in DVD Sales Could Lead to Layoffs at Walt Disney Studios

Rumors of layoffs at the Walt Disney Studios has hit the main stream media today. News of declining DVD and Home Video sales had already forced Disney to merge Home Distribution into Theatrical Distribution, but changing times call for changing business models.

Around 250 employees could lose their jobs. The company does have a lot of open positions in various divisions right now, so hopefully many will be able to move to other sections of the company. Either way, never good news to hear online instead of from your HR Manager.
