Star Tours – The Adventures Continue Grand Opening to be Livestreamed

With Cast Member previews of the updated Star Tours attraction underway tonight, details about the changes present in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue are beginning to leak out. There are other Disney fan sites who have an obsession with Star Tours 2.0 for those seeking spoilers. I’ll begin heavier coverage here beginning next week culminating with the Grand Opening Ceremonies on Friday at 10AM Eastern.

Crowds will no doubt be crazy, and that neck of DHS is already fairly congested. Your best bet to see the ceremony is to watch the event live on the web courtesy a livestream feed provided by Disney. Keep an eye on the Star Tours Facebook page and the Disney Parks youtube channel for viewing opportunities Friday morning at 10AM.

May 20th is not just the opening day for Star Tours, but also the kick off of the 2011 Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My advice is to stay away if you can and plan to arrive very early to get some of the first Fastpasses and first rides of the day.
