Aulani, Disney’s Hawaii Resort, reaches construction milestone

As, major structural work on Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii, was completed, Disney took a moment to celebrate with this photo. Then on Thursday, April 21, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc., handed the project to the Disney team, which will add the theming, decor, landscaping and services that guests expect from a Disney vacation spot.

Below is a closer look at the crew from Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc., with Mickey Mouse and his pals, along with Disney cast members (employees) gathered to celebrate the end of major structural work on the Resort, forming Mickey’s familiar “Hidden Mickey” silhouette on the beach.

Aulani will welcome its first guests on August 29, 2011.
