Early this morning a Disney airport bus shuttle was involved in a traffic accident on the way to Orlando International. It was hit from behind by a semi-truck. (Update: It appears the collision was more serious, see updated OS article.) Five passengers were taken to the hospital with injuries, although they were reported to be minor in nature.
Disney’s Mickey’s Magical Express uses buses with a Disney theme, but owned and operated by a local charter company. This service, free to those staying at a Disney resort, is credited by Disney for helping keep guests on property instead of visiting other area attractions.
It seems like there’s been a Disney Bus crash every other week or so. I’m sure some of it is just the law of averages catching up with an increased Disney fleet. Still, not exactly the best publicity for the resort.

Actually I don’t see what this could have to do with bad publicity for Disney…The Disney bus was hit, it didn’t hit anything….
Well even though disney;s name is on the buss they don’t own or operate them, and second how is it bad publicity when someone else hits the bus?? Disney preventing a rear end collision would be nothing short of a miracle. It is bad publicity when websites like this and news stations make it out to seem like it’s there fault.
A lot of folks only see the headlines, and even when they read the whole article, it’s the headline that’s the impression that sticks with them. Heck, just look at the headline on this Blog article. Every accident, no matter who’s at fault, is bad press for Disney.
