Klout is a measure of one’s online influence measured by Twitter and Facebook interaction. Some companies (like Starbucks or Virgin America) have begun to use Klout to determine who should or shouldn’t be getting special perks at their establishment (like a room upgrade a hotel for instance). Today Disney has entered the fray with a deal combining Walt Disney Animation Studios next feature film Tangled with Klout to provide perks for those with the most influence.
You can check out your Klout score here and see the details of the Tangled promotion here. Here’s an example of someone who received a perk earlier this month. So far nothing has turned up for me (I think this promo actually ran at the beginning of the month), but if you see something, please report back here in the comments.

Sounds like they’re trying to do Doctorow’s Whuffie, only not as well because interaction does not equal esteem and respect.
(See Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom for how this works. Heck, see it anyway because it’s awesome and set in Walt Disney World in the 22nd century.)
I just got my Klout/Tangled tweet a couple of days ago. I don’t know if it’s a slow roll-out, or maybe they ran out, got more and resumed the promotion?
