A 45 year old man is suing Walt Disney World claiming they won’t hire him because he’s deaf. Disney claims it’s due to a lack of qualifications. It’s a rough time in our economy. There are many many more people looking for work then there are jobs. The story on WFTV unfortunately doesn’t give us much to go on, I guess that’s what the courts are for.
Regardless your opinion on the appropriateness of this lawsuit, there is a sad side-bar to this story, it’s taken a year for the courts to find an interpreter so the case can go to trial. There’s no reason for that to happen.
