Disney’s transportation troubles now extends to boats

This time it is clearly the fault of the guest, he even admitted it, but another transportation accident at Walt Disney World has entered the record books. A man was piloting himself and his wife in one of Disney’s Mini-Mouse Speedboats when he failed to avoid an oncoming passenger ferry and the boat and his wife was ran over by the larger boat.

This was not one of the large ferries by the Magic Kingdom, but rather one of the bus sized passenger boats that runs from the Time Share units to Downtown Disney. Still a fairly large size difference when compared to the mini-mouse. The water ways can get narrow back there, but there is plenty of room if all drivers pay attention.

Although it’s just making the news today, the accident occurred last Thursday. The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Let’s all hope for a speedy recovery from what must have been a very frightening experience.
