Parade suspended at Disneyland Resort after accident results in guest injuries

Sources on the LaughingPlace.com message boards are reporting that on March 19th the Pixar Play Parade, a new parade performing daily in the California Adventure gate of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, has been canceled for the next few days until safety inspections can be performed. This after a swing broke off a parade unit and went into the crowd scattering float parts everywhere. No performers were reported injured, but there were injuries among the audience, although none was reported to be serious.

All the parades units are being reinspected for safety and to prevent a similar accident. At least this wasn’t a 660lb steel beam like fell off a parade float in Tokyo Disneyland a few months ago. No one was injured in that accident.
