When Johnny Depp’s daughter took ill during the production of Sweeney Todd, the Great Ormand Street Hospital provided treatment and probably saved her life. Depp already had some dealings with GOSH in regards to one of his previous roles as Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland, but I’m sure he’s grateful to a whole new level.
Now Depp has donated 1 million pounds to the hospital (which also received an infusion of money from Disney as part of their fundraising campaign) and he spent four hours in the costume and character of Captain Jack Sparrow visiting with the young patients. Talk about your meet and greet. (Link)
