No longer messing around, Save Our Anaheim Resort, the Disneyland Resort backed group, has succeeded in getting a second initiative placed on the June 3rd ballot. Now the citizens of Anaheim will get to decide both if the SunCal development should be stopped, and whether to give citizens the power to pre-approve any future developments that don’t fit the tourism and resort business model for the Anaheim Resort.
I think this is the safe move for the City of Anaheim that relies on tourism to drive 50%+ of its tax base. (Link)
