Space Mountain re-opens at Tokyo Disneyland

Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland has just re-opened after a 5 month rehabilitation (btw, I love it when Disney uses this term, makes it sound like the attraction just went through drug rehab). Lots of great new stuff, still no on-board synchronized soundtrack on the cars, however.

One of these days I hope to make it to Tokyo Disneyland. Until then here’s a video of the latest version of the attraction.

This leaves only the Space Mountain at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom (the original version of the attraction) unimproved. This was one of the last attractions that my grandfather worked on, but I still say the time to bring it into the 21st Century is now. There is some great history on all the Space Mountain Attractions over at Wikipedia. (via TPI)

  1. Going to Tokyo Disneyland in September for a day or two! Any suggestions on decent websites for planning our quick visit?
