Disney Hack: Find Your Lost Child With A USB Drive

One of my favorite Disneyland urban legends is that of the young child who is kidnapped. The evil-doer changes the clothes of the child to that of the opposite sex, drugs the child, and dyes the hair, but is caught at the exit gates by the worried parents who recognize the toddler’s unchanged shoes. According… Read More »Disney Hack: Find Your Lost Child With A USB Drive

Meet The Robinsons, an early look

Jerry over at CartoonBrew saw a screening of Disney’s Meet The Robinsons last week. While he didn’t offer a full review, he did say that the film was beautiful and surpassed his expectations. It’s a little bit of a spoiler, but click through if you want to read why the movie left him feeling good about the future of the Walt Disney Company.

Jerry saw the film in Disney Digital 3D, which really is the only way to see a Disney Film like this. If you live in New York City, that’s the only way you’ll be able to see the film as every theater will have the format. I’ve included other fun facts about Meet The Robinsons below the cut.

If you’re curious about how Disney Digital 3D works, check out this featurette:

"And since that time, we’ve decided to take a look at it again because we’ve had numerous requests about bringing… Read More »Song of the South release speculation

High School Musical to hit the road as a Musical Stage Show

Disney Theatrical Productions has announced the launch of a touring "High School Musical" stage production. The show will eventually reach of 60 cities across the US and Canada, although just a few have been announced right now. For fans of "High School Musical" it’s important to note that this is not like the concert and will not feature, at this point at least, any of the stars from the Disney Channel Movie. Instead this is a continuation of the very successful production that has played at Atlanta’s Theatre of the Stars. So please go and enjoy the show, but don’t expect to see Zac Efron, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale or any of the other stars from the movie.

The first cities announced include: Fisher Theatre in Detroit from June 26th – July 8th, the Academy of Music at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in
Philadelphia (July 11th – 22nd), and the LaSalle Bank Theatre in
Chicago (July 25th – September 2nd). In addition, "Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour," being produced by Feld
Entertainment in cooperation with Disney Theatrical Productions, and will
hit the ice starting on September 29th.

The full text of the press release is included below the cut.
