First Quarter results are in for the Walt Disney Company and investors are happy. Net Income more than doubled and Total Revenue was up by almost a billion. DVD sales and the return of advertising money helped pump the numbers up. Let’s not forget about ‘Cars’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest" either. Advertising and retail sales related to High School Musical were also big earners for the company. Themepark attendance was up 3% generally, but down in Hong Kong and Anaheim. But that’s one shadow on an otherwise bright day.
How is Disney doing these days? Not too shabby!
