Disney donates $50,000 toward Tornado relief

Even though the attraction area was not affected by Friday’s bad weather, Walt Disney World announced they’ll be providing a $50,000 donation to the
American Red Cross to aide in relief efforts following the severe
storms and tornadoes that impacted Central Florida this week. I have heard of a couple cast members who live in the affected area. I’m sure they’ll appreciate this gesture.

"Central Florida is our home and we are committed to assisting in
the rebuilding efforts," said Meg Crofton, President, Walt Disney World
Resort. "As the relief efforts progress, we will continue to help those
in need through strong community partnerships throughout Central
Florida."

Disney Worldwide Outreach and Walt Disney World Resort will provide
ongoing support through in-kind contributions to Red Cross shelters.
The donations include water, blankets, pajamas, games, DVDs and other
items. (via The Orlando Sentinel)
