A woman who suffered back injuries last year in a fatal crash at
Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has sued the Walt Disney Co.. The suit, filed Nov. 18 in Orange County Superior Court by attorney
Fred Nameth, alleges negligence. It also alleges that the ride’s design
is defective and that Disney continues to engage in conduct unsafe for
the public
I’m sure this won’t be the last suit to be filed from this tragedy. All these injuries and deaths were the result of the previous management teams. I can only hope that the current team, led by Matt Ouimet, has fixed the problems with show and attraction maintenance. It may not be the cheap way to do things in the short run, but in the long run it will save you money lost in lawsuits, emergency repairs, and attendence numbers.
